QUANTITATIVE ANALYST – Trondheim/Helsinki/Oslo

SKM Market Predictor is further expanding its strong analytical team and is looking for quantitative analyst for Nordic/European Power market. Primary company’s locations are Trondheim or Helsinki, location in Oslo may be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational short, medium and long-term power market analyses and forecasting model runs
  • Keep a close track of changing market conditions and regularly analyse and communicate them
  • Ad-hoc analytical customer support and agile problem-solving
  • Active teamwork in the development of innovative modelling and analytical tools

We are looking for candidates with:

  • University degree in power industry, mathematics or computer science
  • Practical experience in work with databases (SQL)
  • Programming skills with Python and data analysis libraries (Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib)

Its preferable with:

  • Understanding of the European or Nordic power or energy sector
  • Operational experience with the long-term power market models e.g. EMPS, Plexos, BID3
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and one of the Nordic languages
